Labadi Beach, Accra, Ghana, 12, November, 2022- At the mouth of Kpeshi Lagoon, Jim Denevan led a team of Ghanaian artisans to create a large-scale sand art installation. Constructed in just one day, this massive artwork was composed of 240 circular sand mounds, each two hundred feet apart. With a talented team of artisans from Ghana, this work of art serves to reflect a celebration of the natural world and a meditation on the fleeting nature of existence itself. Completed just in time for the evening high tide.
